Thursday Oct. 8th

Have a wonderful and restful weekend. Oh... and happy thanksgiving! There is no school for your kiddos tomorrow or Monday, so see you on Tuesday.

Earlier this week, we talked about gratitude, what is means to be grateful, and how you can show gratitude.  Today we got to finish our gratitude pumpkin. This will be our reminder for showing kindness and for things we need to be thankful for everyday.

Here is what else we have learned today...

Literacy: We sorted out sentences that were simples or compound sentences. Students were very successful in figuring out the difference between the two. See if your child can spot the compound sentences in this blog post. ;)

Math: Today was the last day for the math mystery. Detectives are still working hard to find out who poisoned the pizza, but all will be revealed on Wednesday.

Next week events: Spelling test on Friday (Oct 16),  patterning challenge, and a Social Studies project

Take care!
