Reminders: Please see an important message regarding a survey for the possibility for "Shortened Fridays". Links from the letter are available for you on the side bar (click on the three lines in the top left hand corner). We would like to hear your voice!
March 17th is "wear green" day! Tomorrow is Hot Soup day and Friday is a PD day. There is no school for your child on Friday. Enjoy a long weekend.
Language Arts: This week, room 2 has been learning about a formula type of poem called a Haiku. Ask your child about Haikus! What is it a formula poem? What is the structure of a Haiku?
Here are our words of the week! We will be having our spelling test next Friday (March 19th).
Mathematics: Room 2 have been become Math Detectives! Gnomes have taking extra portions from the villages stock pile. It's up to us to solve which gnome has been taking the food. Students need to crack the code by interpreting graphs and data.
Science: Students have finished making their simple wheel and axle machines. This week, we have been creating an advertisement to sell their simple machine. Students needed to keep these questions in mind when creating their poster ad: What is your machine? How will it make someone's life easier?
